Palo Verde Cloud Forest (Bosque Nuboso Palo Verde), located in Cartago, is a protected area where visitors can disconnect from the city and find refuge in direct contact with nature. We offer walking trails of various distances (2, 4, 11 and 15 km) and levels of difficulty. It’s also a perfect place for bird watching, particularly because of the Bell bird, which can be seen between January and June of each year.
The Cloud Forest is part of the Camino of Costa Rica, a cross-country hiking trail, located within Phase 10 of the trail.
